Engineering
A cartridge is a generator dragged through a groove, and everything that matters happens in the last half millimetre. This one uses a nude elliptical diamond — the tip is the diamond, not a chip bonded to a shank — on a boron cantilever, which keeps the moving mass at 0.32mg so the stylus can follow the groove wall instead of skating over it. Output is 0.4mV, low enough to need a proper moving-coil stage and quiet enough to reward one. The body is machined aluminium rather than moulded polymer so the mounting face is genuinely flat against the headshell; a cartridge that rocks on its bolts undoes the alignment you just spent twenty minutes setting.

You do need the right stage
0.4mV is low. With a moving-magnet input it is unusably quiet — my fault, and NOVA says so on the page.
