Engineering

Every failure we log against portable headphones is electronic: a battery that will not hold, a radio that will not pair, a firmware update that changes the tuning under the owner. The TOUR removes all three by removing the electronics. It is a 38mm driver in a folding magnesium yoke, terminated in a plain 3.5mm jack, and it will still work in fifteen years because there is nothing in it that expires. The tuning tracks the reference curve to within 2dB, with a deliberate half-decibel lift at 4kHz to hold speech intelligibility over cabin noise, which is the one concession the use case earns.

    Nothing to charge

I have thrown this in a bag for a year and it has never once needed anything from me.

Isolation is passive, and that is fine

It will not cancel an engine, but it does not need a battery either. Straight trade, clearly explained.
