The Lite is the N1 with the aluminium replaced by a 30% glass-filled composite and the battery halved. It uses the identical driver module and the identical DSP tuning, which is the point — the frequency response plots overlay almost exactly. What you lose is the aluminium's damping, so the composite shell needs an extra 2g of butyl mass loading to reach the same resonance floor, and the ANC gives up about 4dB at the low end because the shell flexes more. We publish both curves side by side so the trade is visible rather than implied.

Noticeably less isolation on a train than the N1, exactly as documented. Weight difference is worth it for me.
