Turntables are sold on adjectives, so we sell this one on a number: every DECK ships with its own measured wow-and-flutter figure, taken from a 3150Hz test disc over three minutes, and we will not release a unit above 0.08%. The platter is 3.2kg of machined aluminium running on an inverted bearing with a sintered bronze bush and a ceramic ball, which puts the load at the top of the shaft where it damps rather than at the bottom where it rumbles. The motor sits in its own isolated pod and drives a ground silicone belt; decoupling it entirely from the plinth is what takes the rumble figure to −74dB. The arm is a 9-inch aluminium tube with adjustable VTA, because a fixed-height arm is a decision made for you.
